Lifeguards

On Stand Duties

• Remain alert and attentive while on the lifeguard stand.
• Consistently scan your pool for distressed swimmers.
• Enforce all club rules fairly and consistently.
• Absolutely NO CELL PHONES ON DECK, this will result in immediate termination.
• Talking with members, friends, or co-workers is NOT permitted while on the stand.
• Eating is NOT permitted while on the stand.
• Rescue Tube, Whistle, hip pack, and Pool Specialists uniforms are required.

Off Stand Duties

• Greeting and check-in members and guests in a friendly manner.
• Answer all questions politely.
• Enforce all club rules fairly and consistently.
• Refer all problems or complaints to manager promptly.
• Complete Incident Reports immediately following the incident.
• Pick up debris and trash on pool deck/grounds.
• Straighten chairs, and wipe off tables/counters.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.
• Empty trashcans.
• Vacuum pool and clean pool tiles.
• Clean skimmers.
• Staff and sell concessions where applicable.

Employment is subject to immediate termination for any of the following reasons: arriving or working at the pool under the influence of alcohol or drugs, not requiring members to follow the rules, falling asleep on the stand, showing up late and/or missing a shift three times.
